Welcome to a village committed to its future.
Upcoming Projects
As we look ahead to the future of our community, we have outlined the most exciting projects that are in the works to enhance the Village of Brinkhaven.
We are excited about the progress being made and look forward to seeing these initiatives come to fruition in the near future.
If you would like to ask questions or help with any projects listed please attend our council meetings, held the second Monday of every month. All are welcome.
Municipal Code Adopted
The Brinkhaven Municipal Code has been officially adopted by Village Council and is now in effect. The Code is available for public review and serves as the Village’s unified and authoritative body of local law.
Residents, property owners, businesses, and visitors are encouraged to become familiar with its contents and the standards that guide the governance and administration of the Village.
Village Signage
The Village has installed new signage, including a “Welcome to Brinkhaven” sign at the Holmes County entrance, a “Village of Brinkhaven” sign at the Main Street entrance, and a new Council House sign. These signs are part of a unified branding effort that establishes a consistent visual identity for the Village and enhances Brinkhaven’s visibility and presence for both residents and visitors.
Proposed Council Reduction
Village Council has approved an ordinance to place on the ballot a measure asking voters to consider reducing the size of Council from six members to five. The question has been submitted to the Knox County Board of Elections for inclusion on the November 3, 2026 general election ballot, where residents will have the opportunity to decide the proposed change.
